SRK Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Knight Riders Cricket Ground in Los Angeles

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the Knight Riders Group, has inaugurated the new Knight Riders Cricket Ground in Los Angeles. The venue hosted its first-ever Major League Cricket (MLC) match between Los Angeles Knight Riders and Washington Freedom, marking a significant milestone for cricket in the United States.

A World-Class Facility for Cricket in America

The Knight Riders Cricket Ground is the first international-standard stadium built by a global cricket franchise. It features eight wickets, ICC-compliant dimensions, and six towering 120-foot floodlights. Over 32,000 metric tonnes of earth were moved during construction to create this modern sporting facility.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Vision for Cricket

Sharing his excitement, Shah Rukh Khan said, “What started as a dream has become a reality today. Bringing cricket to Los Angeles is a landmark moment. We are building a space that celebrates community, togetherness, energy, and entertainment. This is for Los Angeles, for cricket fans across the globe, and for the Knight Riders family. Believe in Purple and Gold.”

Venky Mysore, CEO of Knight Riders Sports, added that the stadium represents a strong commitment to the future of cricket through world-class infrastructure.

Celebrity First Ball and MLC Action

NBA champion Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) bowled the ceremonial first ball, highlighting the growing fusion between cricket and American sports culture. The ground will host multiple MLC matches from July 1 to July 5, further boosting cricket’s popularity in the US.

This development strengthens the Knight Riders Group’s global vision and is expected to inspire more fans and future players in the region.
