The 47-year-old entrepreneur hails from a diverse multicultural family. Her father Robert Spratt has Tamil-British roots, while her mother Rita has Punjabi-Irish heritage. Gauri spent her childhood in Ooty and studied at Blue Mountain School. She later pursued fashion designing and photography in London at the University of the Arts.

Gauri comes from a family involved in the beauty and grooming industry. Her mother ran a popular beauty centre in Bengaluru. Gauri initially worked in garment design and fabric sourcing before stepping into the salon business.

In 2007, she became a co-owner and manager at the renowned BBlunt salon chain. She now oversees multiple outlets. She has also contributed creatively to Aamir Khan Productions. Reports suggest her personal net worth ranges between ₹24 crore and ₹40 crore.

Gauri owns a residential property in Whitefield, Bengaluru, which also serves as the registered office for her company, Beyond The Crowd Ventures LLP. She and her sister previously owned Spratt Hair Studio on Magrath Road, which was sold to BBlunt in a profitable deal a decade ago.

In 2025, Gauri and Aamir moved into a luxurious sea-facing apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, valued at over ₹70 crore.
