Tehran | July 13, 2026: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a large-scale retaliatory military operation targeting United States military installations across Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait. The operation, reportedly named "As You Sow, So Shall You Reap", is described by Iranian authorities as a direct response to recent US military strikes on Iranian targets.

Iranian officials stated that the operation was conducted in three coordinated phases using a combination of missiles and armed drones. However, these claims have not been independently verified, and no official confirmation has been issued by the United States regarding the reported damage.

Iran Claims Strikes on US Military Bases

According to statements released by the IRGC, multiple American military facilities in the Gulf region were targeted during the operation. Iranian authorities said the attacks followed nearly 48 hours of surveillance of US military activities before the strikes were launched.

Tehran described the operation as retaliation for recent US military action against Iranian defense infrastructure and accused Washington of escalating tensions in the region.

Jordan: Prince Hassan Airbase Targeted

Iran claimed that missiles and drones struck the Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan. According to Iranian statements, fuel storage facilities and ammunition warehouses were hit, leading to fires within the military installation.

Bahrain: Sheikh Isa Air Base Among Claimed Targets

Iran also claimed that the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain was attacked. The IRGC alleged that the operation damaged a US helicopter maintenance facility, hangars used for P-8 maritime patrol aircraft and a drone command center.

Officials in Bahrain and the United States have not publicly verified these claims.

Kuwait: Two Airbases Reportedly Attacked

According to Iran, the operation also targeted Ali Al-Salem Airbase and Ahmad Al-Jaber Airbase in Kuwait. Iranian authorities claimed the strikes destroyed fuel storage tanks, Patriot air defense systems and a strategic FPS radar installation.

Escalation Follows Breakdown in US-Iran Relations

The latest escalation comes after reported peace talks between the United States and Iran failed to produce an agreement. Tehran has accused Washington of interfering in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important maritime route for global energy supplies.
