NEET UG 2026 Results Announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2026 Results, bringing relief to more than 20 lakh medical aspirants across India. This year's examination, widely referred to as Re-NEET 2026, was conducted after the earlier exam was cancelled following controversy over alleged irregularities.
The results reveal two joint toppers, impressive performances from students across multiple states and a lower overall qualifying percentage compared to the original examination.
Aryan Gupta and Panshul Bansal Share AIR 1
Punjab's Aryan Gupta and Haryana's Panshul Bansal have jointly secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 by scoring 715 out of 720 marks. Both candidates achieved an outstanding 99.9999 percentile and cleared the examination on their very first NEET attempt.
Their exceptional performance has made them the highest scorers in this year's examination and one of the biggest success stories of NEET UG 2026.

Telangana Students Deliver Strong Performance
Telangana emerged as one of the standout states in this year's examination. Eight students from the state secured positions within the top 138 All India Ranks.
The state's highest-ranked candidate, Veeriahgari Sahyu, secured AIR 13 with a 99.99915 percentile. Other Telangana candidates secured AIR 19, 21, 38, 42, 83, 91 and 123, highlighting the state's consistent performance.

Joint topper Aryan Gupta attributed his success to disciplined preparation, conceptual understanding and the continuous support of his parents and teachers. He advised future NEET aspirants to focus on strengthening concepts, solving mock tests regularly and maintaining consistency instead of simply studying for long hours.
How NEET UG 2026 Differs From Previous Year
NEET UG 2026 holds special significance because it followed the controversy surrounding the earlier examination, leading authorities to conduct a re-test. Despite the challenging circumstances, the highest score this year reached 715 marks, considerably higher than the previous year's top score.
The results also reflect participation from candidates across all states and Union Territories, with girls registering a better overall success rate than boys.
